Home. So Home. Never Been So Home.

I cannot believe it. Though I should know better cuz God is just that good and so many... SO many have been praying. But Everything went as well as it could have. Our flights left and arrived on time. Our luggage got all the way to Columbus over 3 flights and a 24 hour layover in Hong Kong. Our paperwork was all in order. None of us got pulled out of any lines for security or sickness reasons. The weather held off. John and Darren came out in the most luxureous mini-van I've ever been in to drive us through sleet, snow and ice from the Columbus airport and wouldn't even let us touch the luggage. I was greeted at the door by Jack yelling daddy daddy! To me that is the most overwhelming point of the day. My heart burst. All that time missing him just burst out. I couldn't talk for a long time. I do love my boy!

Jack was SUPER excited to see Eme too. the first thing he did was fix the cuff of her big, fluffy bear coat so her hand was out. He said something like, "you need to have your hand out". Precious. She wasn't too scared of him. She shied away from Erin's mom and a was just a liiiittle warmer to her Dad but she mostly clung to Erin or I.

We sat downstairs for a long while just jabbering and squeezing Jack and letting everyone see Eme. It was a wonderful feeling. I wish all of our family could have been there. We're going to have to make a New England tour super soon.

We then went up to Eme's room, now redecorated by our friends. How cool is that? It's awesome by the way. Eme has a nice, soft-pink room that is girly sweet like her.

Now comes the figuring out how to get her onto EST. THAT could be fun.

Here goes the real adventure!

Trip to Eme - Day... what day is it?

This is my last official 'Trip to Eme' post I hope. Not because the trip has been bad, heck no. It's been great (other than being sick the past 3 days). We're just ready to be home with our little girl and Jack. Gosh we miss our little Punkinfire (his choice of name).

Now, in my humble opinion, and don't tell Erin, but I think our chances of taking all of our scheduled flights home without a hitch is about 40%. Not being pessimistic, just realistic. I think we'll get into Newark just fine but the flight to Columbus will be the one to keep an eye on. Pray that we can get home. Also pray that whoever comes to get us at the airport (Erin's folks or our friends depending on weather), have a safe trip as well.

We have one customs / security / immigration procedure to go through before we leave and one when we get to Newark, NJ. Pray for those as well as we have only a slight clue as to what we're doing. Grace, our guide in Guangzhou did a great job briefing us but neither of our brains are operating all that great. Also pray for our temperatures that any fevers that Eme or I have will be gone by the time the random lady with a thermometer catches us (like she did when we got to Hong Kong).

And again, thank you for all your prayers. Can't tell you how obvious God's provision has been on every step of this.

Also Eme wanted you all to know that she is a big pooper. Ya. Big pooper. She can't wait to share her skills with y'all.

Ok we're getting ready to head out into the airport here in a min or two. HERE WE GO!

Love you, Jack! We're coming for ya!
